Along the rim of the Wind River Mountains are many colonies of marmot families. The young are still close to the mother but will soon forage for themselves. They are showing several natural behaviors; stretching, tail waving and alert postures. The tail waving is done by young and old and seems to be a method of letting everyone know their locations.
